RLL Coaching Requirements
Little League Baseball and the state of Washington have strict rules and guidelines that all volunteers must follow before they can participate as a coach for Ridgefield Little League. If you have questions about Coaching with RLL please email [email protected]
All volunteers must complete the following steps each year:
1. Register Online - Register as a volunteer online or during your player registration in your Sports Connect account, and specify which type of position and level you are interested in.
2. Volunteer Application & Background Check - You will be sent an email with a for a notification of a Background Questionnaire or the Volunteer Application can be downloaded HERE. These invitations will be sent out to volunteers after they register online. This is a National Little League requirement. Volunteers cannot participate in any activity with children until they have passed the background check & have been approved by the Coaching Committee Board. You will also need to email or deliver a photo of your driver's license to RLL. It can be emailed to
[email protected] along with the Little League Volunteer Application.

Managers and Coaches are REQUIRED to complete the following:1.First-Aid/CPR Training - Complete online or in person First-Aid/CPR class and email a copy of the certificate to the coaching director or coaching committee (
[email protected]). Must be completed every two (2) years.
2. Coaching Clinics - Attend at least one of the coaching clinics (in person or online. See the Home or News Pages and Social Media for times and dates for the current Season.
